Our Annual General Meeting is on the 23 November starting at 7.00pm at Mount Waverley Reserve

It’s a great opportunity to join your local community, get involved with a club of 500 playing members, and positively influence the youth of the local area by volunteering or taking a paid role. Training, mentoring and handovers are provided by the Executive Committee and past role holders. Waverley Blues Football Netball Club is a community‑focused club based at Mount Waverley Reserve that fields Auskick, junior and senior football and netball teams across male and female programs. We have reviewed our committee structure and are expanding the current committee to ensure that Waverley Blues continues to be the leading Australian Rules Football Netball Club in Monash council. We currently have a number of Executive and General committee vacancies. With general committee positions it is optional to attend monthly committee meetings

In addition, we are seeking Canteen Manager to manage and run our canteen on Saturday (9 games) and Sunday (14 games) plus finals. This is a paid role

Other ways to get involved

While we have advertising specific roles, there are many other ways to join the Waverley Blues community and make a real difference. Help on match days (umpire escorts, gate, canteen, bbq scoreboard, set‑up/pack‑down), assist with training sessions, support teams as trainers, become a team manager, or help with coaching and junior development. These roles are flexible, and great for meeting people and getting involved with your local community.

Over‑55 Jobseekers

We encourage jobseekers aged 55 and over to get involved with the Waverley Blues. Many of our roles — including canteen, bar, ground operations, sponsorship support and general club duties — are well suited to people seeking flexible, social and meaningful part‑time work. Eligible applicants may also be able to access government wage‑support programs, which we are happy to discuss confidentially. It’s a great way to stay active, meet people and contribute to a thriving local community.
